Overview
Tool life management allows you to track the life of different tools, see predictions on when the tool will expire, and receive notifications for expired tools. Life is measured on a "per-part" basis - for each part produced on a machine's part counter, every active tool will increment correspondingly.
Adding a Job
To add a job, navigate to the "Jobs" page and click "Add New". Name the job, select the corresponding machine for the job, then press save.
Adding a Tool
Navigate to your machine's page, and under the tool life section click "Add New". There you can enter details about the tool such as name, number, P/N, and max life. Be sure to also assign this tool to the job you just created.
Press "Save" to commit these changes, then use the same process to add any additional tools.
Replacing a Tool
When a tool is replaced, you can easily reset the counter to zero and log the amount of life previously accumulated by opening the drawer for the tool (down arrow on the left) and pressing "Reset Counter". The life will be reset to zero and a message and previous life will be logged.
Switching Between Jobs
To activate a new job, press the three dots in the upper right of the Tool Life Panel. You'll see a listing of all your jobs there, and pressing the switch on a job will activate it and deactivate all other jobs.
